Value chain analysis plays an important role in determining the taxing rights of the countries, more specifically in the data and digital world. However, before understanding the data value chain/ value creation part, it is important to understand the data ecosystem which is in the process of continuous evolution. Hence, series 2 is broadly designed to discuss the data ecosystem, evolving data driven business models and the value creation limb. 

Another very important question that triggers everyone’s mind is what techniques should be used to measure the value of data appropriately. 

Therefore, we thought of elaborating the valuation part also in this series before jumping to series 3 which will deal with various international tax aspects.
